As an experienced science teacher who is also an examiner and moderator, we can cover a whole variety of biology, chemistry or physics topics. In our Biology lessons, we can cover topics such as cells; organ systems; health, lifestyle and disease; enzymes; plants and photosynthesis; hormones and the nervous system; genetics and evolution; and ecology. In our chemistry lessons, we can cover topics such as the periodic table; ions, atoms and chemical bonding; moles and concentration; acids, bases and neutralisation; endothermic and exothermic reactions; chemical reactions and catalysts; hydrocarbons and organic chemistry; chemistry of the atmosphere; and sustainability. In our physics lessons we can cover topics such as energy; electricity; the states of matter; radioactive decay; forces; waves; magnetism; and space. In addition to any of the general topics, we can cover exam preparation and general key skills in science such as; rearranging equations, graphs, interpreting data and key terms (with translations if necessary). In our lessons, we will use a combination of Powerpoint slides, online interactive quizzes, video clips, worksheets and interactive white boards. I aim to give a personalised pace to learning, by providing a friendly and comfortable environment to encourage the best possible outcomes for your learning journey. If you have very little science knowledge, or a lot and want to have in-depth discussions, I would love to get to know what it is you love about science!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of scientific concepts in all disciplines of biology, chemistry and biology.

Learning Needs
As an experienced teacher, I am able to support a variety of SEN and LBQT needs of my students and will tailor lessons to support them to achieve.
Parental Guidance
Age appropriate sexual health and reproductive topics will be taught in line with the UK national curriculum for science.
