What is exactly taught during the lessons? Natural Hand Positioning Implementing good piano technique is vital early on in a pianist’s training. Healthy piano technique is executed with use of the whole entire body in the most natural and relaxing manner. Note Reading Being able to read piano notes is essential for understanding and playing music accurately. It allows you to quickly identify the pitch and duration of each note, enabling you to translate sheet music into beautiful melodies. Ear Training Children learn words after hearing them spoken hundreds of times by others. Listening to music every day is important, especially listening to repertoire you are currently learning, so the student knows them immediately. Theory Studying theory will help build your ability to match written notes with piano keys at a glance. Knowing the names of chords, notes, key signature and so-forth will help form a bridge between your fingers and your brain. Rhythm Rhythm is to recognize the patterns of sound in time, so you know when to play each note and how long to hold it for. Solfege Solfege provides a framework for melodies by establishing recognizable relationships between pitches (do-re-mi) and training your ear to hear patterns. It is an excellent system for learning music and enhances the concept of ear training. Composition As students, most musicians start to explore the idea of writing their own musical compositions. Learning to write an original piano pieces will allow you to share your creativity to the world. Lesson Structure: 1:00-2:00 mins. How are you? What's new?
