Beginner Level
Overall, my teaching style is encouraging and structured yet fun. In our lessons, we’ll lay a strong foundation by making the basics fun and easy to understand! We’ll start with piano geography, so your child will know their way around the keys like a pro. Then, we’ll dive into reading music notes, turning those dots and lines into familiar friends. Next, we’ll tackle rhythms, learning to count and feel the beat with exciting activities that bring music to life. Finally, we’ll focus on proper piano techniques, helping your child's hands move comfortably and confidently across the keyboard. With clear guidance, fun exercises, and a touch of creativity, your child will build skills that will make playing the piano second nature! Summary Topics: - Piano Geography (piano key locations) - Reading Music Notes - Reading and Understanding Rhythms - Proper Piano Techniques Weekly, we will work together live and go over any and all songs. The majority of the instructions will be me teaching your child through mirroring, performing, and discussion.
Learning Goals
To read sheet music and play the piano like a champ.
