In this weekly social skills group students of varying abilities, including autistic individuals will learn various conversation and social skills
Class experience
Students on the autism spectrum will participate in conversations with myself and their peers. We will discuss our special interests and get to know one another. We will also play games together, while implementing the Social Thinking Curriculum, specifically Superflex! Each class will introduce a new topic, so join at anytime! Students will utilize social skills lessons to improve their ability to communicate with others.
I have attended Michelle Garcia Winner's conference and been trained in the Superflex and Social Thinking Curriculums. I currently hold my Master's degree in K-12 Special Education, and work with children on the autism spectrum daily. I have seen the amazing results of this approach to teaching social skills and students always love it!
