Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will be introduced to foundational singing concepts like breathing, posture and diction. They will explore the various sounds they can make with their voices, have fun learning a new song each class, and learn more about how to effectively perform a song for an audience.
I have been teaching voice for over ten years and I teach students ranging from beginners to university vocal performance majors. I hold a Master of Music degree from the University of Alberta and a Performer Diploma from Indiana University. I have trained and performed within North America as well as in Italy and Austria. As a classical singer, I sing in many different languages, I have performed with orchestras, and have brought various fun characters to life when performing in operas. I also have a background in singing folk music and pop, and I am a trained pianist.
Students are recommended to practice regularly outside of class in order to incorporate new ideas and techniques. Practicing for a few minutes per day is recommended.
1 file available upon enrollment- notebook and pencil for notes (optional) - water bottle - song sheets (provided by the teacher for each class)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
