Description

Class Experience

The overall intention of this course is to help the child to learn how to "free their voice" and train it for any style they wish to sing. The goal is to develop strong, healthy chords and the vocal stamina to withstand several shows a week. Although focus will be given to musical theatre styling and performance specifically, this technique can also be applied to any singing style. This class should prepare any child who has a love for theater and singing and wants to shine on stage and stand out in the audition room.
Homework will consist of practicing a series of warm ups throughout the week, as well as song preparation.
I will provide any necessary handouts. Affordable sheet music may need to be purchased digitally from time to time, but I will try to always provide that as well.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learners are given practical tips on a weekly basis, as they workshop their songs with me.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
