Class Experience
Students will learn how to draw and paint a St. Patrick's Day painting from a blank canvas.
I have taught art to students of many different ages during a 30-year teaching career. This includes painting using acrylic paints.
There will be no homework assigned to this lesson.
Canvas or card stock Pencil Eraser Acrylic paints of the learner's choice Cup with water Paintbrushes in several sizes Paper towel Palette, an old egg carton or paper plate Something to cover the work surface. I use wax paper.
The learner's progress will be assessed utilizing informal assessment throughout the lesson.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may need assistance with paint. Acrylic paints do not come out of clothing or other materials when it gets on them. A smock or older clothing may be desirable.
No sources outside of the class will be utilized for this lesson.
