1:1 Private Acting/ Drama Lessons

In this 30-minute private acting lesson, we'll work on acting techniques and practice reading copy. Private acting lessons are ideal for students looking to improve performance delivery, prepare for an audition, looking for self-tape coaching, assistance in how to find acting work, or students who just enjoy being dramatic.

Private Acting lessons are a great way to support literacy skills, especially for students with Dyslexia. 

Lesson Overview:
- Warm-Up Activity
- Practice Copy or Review Actors Submission Materials
- Receive Feedback and Homework if applicable

This is not an Improv class. This lesson is ideal for students who either have acting experience or have taken one of the following courses: Drama Class Acting Adventures for the Stage and Screen, Drama Club Acting Adventures for the Stage and Screen, Drama Camp Acting Adventures for the Stage and Screen, Perform in a Play

New students and those new to acting are welcome to book a session, but please email me before booking so that we can review your goals.

Students must use a device with both a camera and a microphone. Because acting is physical please ensure your space will allow you to stand up and sit down with ease.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What if something comes up and we can't make it to class?
We understand that things come up. As this is a live class, families will have access to the class recording, if at least one student shows up to class. Live classes are not pure instruction, but rather a collaboration between the instructor and the students. When students are in class, the teacher is able to give feedback and encourage adjustments. Previous attempts to record instructional videos for students who miss class, have not worked out since we have found the majority of students did not watch the videos. 
If your child misses class and your family would like to receive a 15 minute video, please let us know and we will provide one.

If you know in advance your child will miss class, make-up sessions, pausing subscriptions, or whether a 15 minute instructional video can be made available to your family.

What if we know we will be out of town next week?
Families are welcome to select the dates they wish to have instruction. If a parent does not reserve the date, then we cannot guarantee that same date/ time will be available upon that students return. 

We missed class and forgot to pause our subscription? Why were we charged? 
Outschool sends many reminders to families and educators about upcoming classes. We recommend double checking that you are receiving class notifications. While we are unable to offer a refund, we are happy to assist in other ways (make-up date or a 15 minute video). For our full policy please see the pdf in the welcome section.
