This course was created for young filmmakers, screenwriters, and video editors.  The sessions are 1:1 focused advisory sessions where students can get help at any phase of production.  These sessions are for students interested in Narrative filmmaking as well as Documentary filmmaking.

Pre-Production: For students at the very beginning of their film journey we can asses the scope of the project and work through the logistics of sharpening their vision (through the script or through the documentary treatment). We can discuss and work through all aspects of the pre-production phase.

Production: For students ready for the production phase we can focus on refining shot lists, storyboards, script-breakdowns, locations, equipment, wardrobe, actors, and actions they can take to make production flow more smoothly.

Post-production: For students who are ready to tackle post-production we can focus on editing, sound design, score, and polishing.  We can also talk about next-steps once the film is complete.

I hold an MFA in Cinema production and teach at a university film school.  I have produced several narrative and documentary films which have gone on to show at festivals around the globe.  I understand the excitement and trepidation filmmakers feel as they work to bring their ideas to life.  These advisory sessions are meant to help young filmmakers along in that journey.
