Class Experience

In this one time course, your child will learn basic ballet steps including the 2 of the 5 ballet positions of the feet, basic ballet terminology including but not limited to plie and releve. . We will learn how to pointe our toes and move our arms (port de bras). We will also start to jump (saute). We also will learn to count to 10 in French. All ballet terms are in French and this helps them get used ballet terminology. The class starts with floor exercises, move to standing exercises, across the floor movement and at the end of class we will have a creative movement section. All exercises will incorporate a spring theme such as blooming tulips, stretching to rainbow colors, waltzing like flowers, hopping like bunnies growing like seeds. I have a BFA in Ballet and I am classically trained. I have over 25 years experience teaching young ones about ballet and the love of dance. I teach in a positive, yet structured atmosphere. It is a fun class that gets students moving, helps them to use their imagination and celebrates the spring season.
