By the end of this class I will be able to introduce myself. I can describe my family and its members. I can also express my likes and dislikes. I can describe my surroundings. I can ask and answer questions about the weather and seasons. I am able to talk about my daily routine. In grammar, I can conjugate regular present tense verbs. I know the conjugation of the verb “gustar” and similar verbs. I can differentiate between pronouns (yo/tú/él/ella/usted/nosotros/nosotras/ellos/ellas/ustedes). I can also identify the gender of nouns and adjectives. I know the alphabet, shapes, colors and numbers from 0 to 1000 and understand some question words (cómo, dónde, cuándo, etc).
I am fluent in Spanish. My family moved to Mexico when I was just six months old. I was raised speaking Spanish and attended schools in Mexico. I have taught Spanish to students ages 2-12 in both a private and public school setting.
