Class Experience

In this one-on-one class, students will receive individual voice training from an instructor with over 26 years of musical theatre experience. Students will be provided with vocal pieces in the style of musical theatre that are both age-appropriate and within their vocal range. Ms. Jen will guide students through instructional vocal warm-ups, vocal techniques, and the importance of breath and support as a vocalist. I have more than 26 years of combined musical theatre directing and teaching experience in the public school classroom, regional educational theatre's, vocal coach, and recreational programs.

All materials for homework will be provided within the Outschool classroom via links and downloads.

Learners will need a second device to play their music from during each class, such as a phone or tablet.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Youtube

A written assessment is available upon request.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

Youtube, mp3 files, and PDF documents are used in this class. Students will need to have a way to play their music during each class.
