Class Experience

In this one-on-one session, singers will receive help and guidance in musicianship, vocal technique, song suggestion and performance. Singers may also wish to pursue learning to sight read music.

Singers who wish to participate in more formal training through adjudicated exams may also do this with Sarah in conjunction with the Royal Conservatory of Music. This involves specific requirements in sight reading, musicianship and performance of classical/folk song repertoire. Singers currently have the option of online adjudications. A typical lesson consists of vocal technique (warm-ups) and repertoire (song) work. If students desire to learn sight reading and ear training, we will work on this skill as well (no experience is necessary).

If the student has a particular song they need help learning, we will work on notes, rhythm, musicality or performance aspects.
