Sing With Me Math: Multiplying By 3, 4, and 6

This interactive course is designed to help scholars with some of the more difficult multiplication facts. This class includes practice with facts having 3, 4, and 6 as a factor. The strategy we will highlight is skip counting. In our 45 minute class, we will use songs and movements to help your child skip count their way to success!

We will begin our lesson by going over the  basics of multiplication. We will discuss what multiplication is, review vocabulary, and discuss when we might need to use it in our every day lives. I will then allow the students to explore and share ways they multiply to get the product. It is important to remember that there is more than one strategy that works. 

After sharing different strategies, we will dive deep into skip counting. Your child will learn what skip counting is and learn songs with familiar tunes to help them remember the multiples of 3, 4, and 6. We will then practice our skip counting songs by applying this new strategy to equations. We will end our lesson with a performance.
