What would happen if Shakespeare collaborated with Post Malone? What if he had a chance to help Panic! At the Disco write a song? Cardi B? Even Billy Ray Cyrus? In this one time class, students will play a fun and interactive game that will serve as an introduction to Shakespearean language. Students will have an opportunity to collaborate with their peers to decipher tweets by The Bard himself! We will take a dive into Shakespeare’s “Twitter” feed and figure out what modern day songs he is tweeting! After this class, students are guaranteed to have greater confidence in their ability to read and decipher the works of William Shakespeare! This game is ALWAYS a class favorite! Let’s have some fun while we learn!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to understand the basics of Shakespearean language while participating in a fun and interactive game.

Teacher expertise and credentials
As a teacher for seven years, I always get excited when it’s time to teach Shakespeare. As timeless as his works are, it can be tiresome to get kids excited! Shakespeare can be overwhelming- but it doesn’t have to be! I take a unique and fun approach to get kids excited to read and appreciate Shakespeare! When a kid has confidence, they can do anything!
