In Sharks and Other Lethal Creatures in the Deep, learners will explore sharks and other creatures in the ocean that have the killer instinct to hunt. This class will be broken into five sections that will touch on sharks, rays, cephalopods, jellyfish and some dangerous fish that attack at a moments notice. We will investigate and explore the questions such as: How does cartilage benefit sharks? What is the fastest shark? How many species of sharks are there? Which ray can deliver enough electric shock to stun a human? Which cephalopod has ten tentacles around its mouth? What is the deadliest jellyfish? Which fish can expand its stomach so that it can eat prey that are as large as itself? Can't wait to see you soon.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! What a pleasure it is to have the opportunity to teach your child.
As an early childhood and elementary teacher, I know certain skills can be challenging to grasp at any age. When you step into one of my classes, whether it be a math or reading class your child will have fun learning. They will be building upon their previous skills that are geared toward their age. In each class your child will be using hands on activities to keep them engaged while learning or reviewing concepts each and every class.
I truly believe each child is unique in the way they learn and process information. As a teacher, it is my job to assist where ever they need help and at their personal and individualized level. My goal is to build children up to their full potential one step at a time.
Hope to see you in class soon!
Kendall
