During this drawing activity and read aloud, students will learn fun facts about the monarch butterfly and draw a butterfly using basic shapes and symmetry.
Class experience
We will begin with introductions which will be followed by some fun facts and information on the monarch butterfly. I will be raising monarchs and may even have one to show (live or on video). The students will then follow along, as the teacher models, and draws a butterfly using shapes and symmetry. Students will identify basic shapes and symmetry, use fine motor skills to draw a butterfly, and learn some fun facts about the monarch butterflies.
