I am a home-school mom of two young coders. I also have enjoyed teaching coders through my other courses: SCRATCHing the Surface of Coding, and SCRATCHing Into Deeper Knowledge!
There will be homework between sessions. Student's should also be reviewing their coding skills learned in previous sessions. This class is advanced, and fast-paced!
Students will need a FREE Log in to the website: https://scratch.mit.edu/ Please have this set up before the first class, so that we can begin going over the controls.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students should be very familiar with Scratch, as well as Zoom. I strongly suggest students to have completed both SCRATCHing the Surface of Coding, and SCRATCHing Into Deeper Knowledge prior to taking this session.
