Beginner Level
This is a class designed to give children the skills to make CVC words using short vowels. They will build words, spell words, and learn to read simple stories with these new sounds. This will be a teacher led group with student involvement. Week 1 In class 1, we will start with phonological awareness. Then we will be reviewing letter sounds. Then we will learn a couple new sight words. Next we will learn the new letter a sound. Then we will make words with encoding and decoding....

I have been teaching for 10 years in 1st and 3rd grade. I have taught hundreds of children to read and this method is key for success in reading.
Homework Offered
Students will be able to read short stories or word lists to improve their sounds.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
