This lesson will include a fun science experiment. During this 30 minute class, the students will be creating their very own lava lamps. Your student(s) will need a water bottle or jar, a cup of water, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, Alka Seltzer tablets and their choice of food coloring. They may also want a flashlight to shine through the bottle. During the lesson, students will also be learning about matter, density and the reason that oil and water do not combine. Join us for a fun time of learning and Science!

Supply List
A water bottle or jar (16 oz) , a cup of water (about 8-10 oz) , 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, Alka Seltzer tablets and their choice of food coloring (up to 2 colors). They may also want a flashlight to shine through the bottle.
