Thanks for stopping by:) Over the next 10 weeks, I will take your learner step by step through 10-weekly SAT math modules. The goal being to give your child the tools they need to greatly improve their SAT Math Test Score. By the end of this course, your learner's CONFIDENCE and ABILITY to score higher on the SAT math will have greatly improved. A higher test score on the SAT math will directly INCREASE their chance of getting into their college of choice. Below is the outline we will follow: ===CLASS OUTLINE=== 1. Tip and strategy for the day------------- 10mins 2. Math problems of the day explained ------5mins 3. Math problems of the day solved---------30mins 4. Questions------------------------------10mins The goal for the student is to not just learn how to solve the problem but also how to MASTER it. Below are the official topics as defined by College Board: HEART OF ALGEBRA (Linear Equations) Linear equations and linear inequalities Interpreting linear functions Linear inequality and equation word problems Graphing linear equations Linear function word problems Systems of linear inequalities word problems Solving systems of linear equations PASSPORT TO ADVANCED MATH(Non-Linear Equations) Quadratic equations Interpreting nonlinear expressions Quadratic and exponential word problems Radicals and rational exponents Operations with rational expressions and polynomials Polynomial factors and graphs Nonlinear equation graphs Linear and quadratic systems Structure in expressions Isolating quantities Functions GEOMETRY & TRIGONOMETRY Questions About 10% of the questions will feature geometry and/or trigonometry. Since not everyone has studied trigonometry in school by the time they take the SAT, these questions may call for separate, SAT-specific preparation. I have spent the last 22 years teaching MIDDLE school through HIGHSCHOOL students (11 - 19 year olds) how to improve their writing skills by implementing my step by step, home-grown, WRITING formula specially designed over my years of teaching.
