This course is designed for students that have an interest in health science such as medicine, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, exercise science, and physical rehabilitation. Each week we will discuss a branch of rehabilitation sciences. Students will be introduced to career paths in rehabilitation sciences.
I hold a Bachelors of science in Health Sciences and a Masters of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics. I am a full-time healthcare professional (resident orthotist). I have been a science educator for over 6 years.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
There will be images of injuries, x rays, and anatomical structures.
