Class Experience

In this one-time class, learners will join Captain Teddy and Teacher Jolene for a read-aloud of Pirates Love Underpants by C. Freedman & B. Cort.  Teacher Jolene’s pirate mascot, Captain Teddy, will help lead through this story with discussion, a bubble map (graphic organizer) and direct draw.  Learners will be asked to share their direct drawings with Captain Teddy and Teacher Jolene.  Class will conclude by singing sea chanteys (pirate songs & chants) and enjoying a favorite snack (provided...

Learners will help create a bubble map about pirates; complete a direct draw of a pirate & parrot; participate in discussions; and enjoy a favorite snack while singing a few pirate songs!

Teacher Jolene is a certified teacher (22 years) and currently teaches 2nd grade.
