This class is a personalized tutoring class to help your learner develop and strengthen phonics, reading and language skills.  I will meet the student where they are at and help them grow their skills using fun and engaging lessons.

Once you sign up, I will reach out and get information about what your students is currently working on or what they are struggling with.

Here are some of the topics that are covered for each grade level:

Kindergarten:
*Identify lowercase and uppercase letters
*Beginning Reading Skills using CVC words and Blends
*Identify long and short vowel sounds
*Syllables, Rhyming Words, Alliteration
*Reading Comprehension Skills
*Beginning Writing Skills

1st Grade:
*Blend phonemes to form words
*Recognize long and short vowel sounds and words
*Decode words
*Consonant Blends and Digraphs
*Vowel Digraphs and Diphthongs
*Syllables, Contractions
*Basic Reading and Writing Skills

2nd Grade:
*Parts of sentence, types of sentences
*Capitalization, Punctuation
*Identifying nouns, verbs, adjectives and pronouns
*Compound Words, Syllables
*Reading Skills and Reading Comprehension


Each class will be personalized to help your learner.  I will use games, songs and props to help the lessons be fun and engaging.  Every class will also include a Kahoot! game at the end.  This is an interactive and fun way for your learner to practice what they have learned.
