This course is designed to give students the skills needed to become readers. The content is made for students older than first grade, in which a significant reading gap has developed.

This class will remediate and teach your student how to read with confidence. The course will start with reviews of phonics skills, key to reading success, with application to stories and games designed for older kids to have fun and gain interest in reading. I am a certified teacher (K-6) with over 10 years of classroom experience. I have high proficiency levels for end of year exams, with over 70% of students gaining one or more grade levels higher in reading ability. I also have over 5 years of experience teaching English to students of other home languages in the classroom and through virtual classrooms.
