COURSE BREAKDOWN

- 3 min. Introductions
-10 min. Briefly discuss the Mercury and Gemini programs, the meaning of Apollo and the space race with Russia. 
- 25 min. Using a PowerPoint the teacher will breakdown and discuss each Apollo mission.
- 5 min. Briefly discuss the canceled missions and the Artemis program.
- 10 min. Discussion/Question time. 
- 2 min. Wrap up/Goodbyes

Parental Guidance
Please be advised, I will be talking about all of the Apollo missions including the Apollo 1 fire. All 3 astronauts perished in the fire. I won't go into gory detail but I know death can be a sensitive subject. Also, sometimes students will ask, "How did the Apollo astronauts go to the bathroom, eat, sleep, etc.?" Again, I will not go into gory detail but please be advised that it could be discussed during class.

Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and I'm certified to teach grades 1st-8th and I'm TEFL certified. I've been teaching children for 12 years. I currently work as an Educator at Kennedy Space Center! I've also taught 2nd grade. I've done long-term substitute positions (grades 1st-6th, all subjects). I've worked in the 3 year old room at KinderCare. I've worked at tutoring centers, including Kumon and Huntington (ages 3-18 reading, writing and math). I've taught on other online platforms, including VIPKid and Magic Ears (ages 3-14, teaching English Language Learners). I also have 3 children of my own!
