1-2 hours per week. worksheets may be provided in the discussion page as homework. Students are required to solve problems independently without any assistance so that I may evaluate their progress.
Assessment
Progress will be assessed by a letter grade at the end of the course.

Course Plan:

First session: (Addition and Subtraction) - Overview on concept, then solve related problems
Second Session: (Multiplication and Division) - Overview on concept, then solve related problems  
Third Session: (Area/Perimeter/Volume) - Overview on concept, then solve related problems  
Fourth Session: (Fraction ) - Overview on concept, then solve related problems  
Fifth Session: (Data Graphing) - Overview on concept, then solve related problems  
Sixth Session: (Time and Money) - Overview on concept, then solve related problems  
Seventh Session: (Unit Measurements/ Word Problems) - Overview on concept, then solve related problems  

I will share a relevant presentation during each session, and will provide students with problems related to each topic. Students will be offered time and solving techniques to solve problems and engage in the learning process. At the end of each session, students will have the opportunity to ask any relevant questions, and may request more problems to solve as homework. 

Since this is a review on the whole curriculum, I expect students to be familiar with most if not all of the contents listed above. If a student have any difficulty in understanding any of those contents, they are encouraged to request a private session prior to the beginning of class, and I will be happy to assist them. 

Students are required to have a pencil, a ruler and a notebook for notes handy.
Any homework, or relevant posts offered by me will be posted on the discussion page, and answers/comments should be posted on the same page in the comment section of each specific post.

Master's Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University
Born and raised in New York City, USA, 1990. She is a self-taught artist, designer, and writer. she has decided to pursue her education in the Engineering discipline. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Avionics Technology, in 2014 at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, NYC.

She is a multidisciplinary person who has succeeded in engineering. Afaf has a collection of paintings, drawings, fashion design sketches, graphic designs, poems, writings, calligraphy, recordings of her speeches and songs. Her artworks reflects much of her timeline. Her talent has exploded during her teenage years, as her family and friends supported her to fulfill her passion for art.

During her academic years, Afaf started working as a teacher’s assistant and Calculus Tutor at her college. In 2012, she started tutoring children in the Community Learning Centers in New York City. Eventually she volunteered in several organizations, as NYC Rescue Mission. She also pursued her career in Engineering with several aerospace companies.

Along the way she started exhibiting in schools, colleges and other public venues in her community. She adopted a strong philosophy through art. She has been involved in community work, through mentoring and educating young women and men. She has a commitment in providing an impact on the children and influencing them to become future leaders.
