Class Experience
This class is for all guitar players; from beginners to masters. We'll see where you are now in terms of skills and passions and base our lesson plans on where you would like to go as a guitar player! I have more than two decades of experience as a guitar player which gives me the knowledge and abilities to teach everything from the fundamentals to advanced guitar theory and techniques. I teach in a very conversational and motivating way because I want you to be empowered to accomplish your passions as a guitar player! Whether you need to grow your skills, find your passion, or reconnect with the desire to play, I'm the teacher for you!

Supply List
A journal, pen, and it would be preferred that a student's guitar is tuned before class starts. If you don't know how to tune a guitar, I'll teach you!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Teacher expertise and credentials
My first guitar teacher was my father. And I’ve been playing for a little over twenty years now. It’s important to me that when someone learns an instrument that they feel empowered as I did within my own household. To that end, I teach guitar with the goal of helping my students learn the instrument and become the musician they want to be.
I am also a Master of Social Work with a decade of experience serving people of all backgrounds and abilities which gives me great insight as to how to honor and empower anyone I have the joy of teaching. I am very energetic, constructive, and patient when I teach because I think that’s the kind of approach we need in creative endeavors. I provide some supplemental content to help lessons stick.
