Class experience
The student will learn via my instruction on zoom. I will pull up images of guitar chord charts so the learner can continue to read chord charts on their own. I will meet the learned at their level (absolute beginner to intermediate) and will guide them through learning basic guitar chords, strumming, and proper guitar care. This class is taught in Spanish.
Students will learn how to play basic guitar chords such as A, Am, D, Dm, C, Cm, G, Gm, E, Em, and F (which is a little more advanced). They will also learn basic rhythm and strumming, as well as picking. The learner's journey will be shaped by their interests, and not by a standardized lesson plan. I believe in maintaining a student's natural motivation, this is why I do not pressure the learner to do rigorous practice exercises, rather I encourage them to keep finding things they'd like to play. Thankfully each new song will teach something new naturally.

Students are expected to practice during their own time in between classes.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

The learner must attend class with a guitar that fits their hands. Full-size guitars can be too big for some children, making it impossible for them to reach all the strings. Please check this before starting class :) Even though learners will learn to tune their own guitars during class, I highly suggest that the student gets assistance between classes to get their guitar tuned. Sometimes it is very difficult to get a perfect pitch via Zoom.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
