Class Experience
Students will learn how to play the guitar and feel confident playing various chords and songs. Students will learn chords, strumming patterns, music theory, and more. Students will then take the knowledge they learn to practice their favorite songs. I use a progressive guitar curriculum that introduces chords one at a time, as well as progressively difficult strumming patterns. I have a relaxing teaching structure that is very student-centered. I adapt my lessons to my students and try different methods to aid in student success. Students will be actively playing the guitar throughout the class. Students do not need any prior experience. We can teach beginners through advanced guitar players. Please email me prior to our first class so I know the approximate level to start your child at. These are ongoing guitar lessons. Ongoing classes reserve your time weekly. This is perfect for those who have a consistent schedule.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to play multiple chords looking at a chord chart.Students will learn about rhythm (whole, half, quarter, eight notes) and apply them to different strumming patterns.
