Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
As a tutor, I offer comprehensive tutoring services for students in grades 4 to 12 and is tailored to accommodate the diverse needs of students in this age group. I provide personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions to help students excel in various subjects, including Math, Science, English, and more.

The tutoring sessions are designed to enhance students' understanding of key concepts, improve their study skills, and boost their academic performance. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification on challenging topics.

Furthermore, I try to offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate students' busy school schedules. Whether students need help with homework assignments, test preparation, or concept reinforcement, I am dedicated to providing them with the necessary support and guidance to succeed academically.

Overall, I provide personalized attention, academic excellence, and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
Students will receive individualized instruction in the content.

FOR ALL STUDENTS:

I prefer to teach with the 5 E’s instructional approach (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate) but I like to add Extend to the model. My goal is to make a connection between the content and the student. If a connection can be made, the students tends to retain the information. Scaffolding occurs.

FOR PARENTS:

Please know that your input about your child is invaluable. We will work as a team to create the best possible outcome for you child(ren). I will start the session based on your desires and allow the child to guide from there. We will create a great communication system through messages on Outschool. Our timely response will be crucial for lesson plan developments.

The class will be interactive and lighthearted. The students will guide the learning and the teacher will be the facilitator. I believe we should learn at least one new thing a day, including me. I hope to learn from the students, as well as the students learn from the teacher and each other.

Learning Goals

* Students will receive individualized instruction in the content and will make forward progress to comprehension

Hello. My name is Teacher Tanya.

Greetings,

I am Teacher Tanya, a dedicated educator with a rich personal and professional background.

In my personal life, I fulfill roles as a devoted wife, a mother to nine children, a grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Teaching, reading, and traveling in my RV are my passions.

Central to my philosophy is the belief that continuous learning is essential for personal growth. I advocate for acquiring new knowledge daily to enrich our lives. As an educator, I employ the 5 E's approach—Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate—while also emphasizing the importance of "Extend" in teaching.

Regarding my education and experience, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and have pursued extensive coursework towards a Master's Degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I possess a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Call me crazy, but I am currently working on a Doctorate is Education: Organizational Leadership.

With fifteen years of experience owning and operating state-licensed and accredited preschool, childcare, and school-age centers, I have a solid foundation in education. I have, also, served as a substitute teacher for middle and high school students, including fulfilling long-term positions in core academic subjects.

Having dedicated over 25 years to working with children in both classroom settings and extracurricular activities, I have taught a diverse range of subjects such as English, Reading, History, Math, Science, and ESL, to students with diverse abilities.

I appreciate your time in reviewing my profile and consider it an honor. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet your child and your family.

Thank you.
