Pre-Algebra Workshop #4: Linear Functions (Slope)

This workshop is appropriate for review or enrichment purposes for students entering the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.

Class 1: Determining the slope (steepness) from a graph or from two points
Class 2: Finding the missing coordinate; find the slope and the y-intercept from slope-intercept form (equation)
Class 3: Graph a line from an equation in slope-intercept form and from an equation in point-slope form

Students will work through at least 10 problems in each of the three classes.  They are encouraged to take notes.
