Description
Class Experience
This class will focus on linear equations and inequalities. Each lesson will include a slide show with examples, explanations, and a chance for students to practice what they've learned. We'll alternate working on things as a group and giving students time to try problems on their own. I've found many students struggle a bit with the concept of the coordinate plane (X-axis and Y-axis), even when they have no trouble with other parts of algebra. (On the flip side plenty of students struggle...
Students will review/practice graphing points, lines, and linear equations.
Homework is optional but encouraged and will consist of a few problems for students to reinforce what we learned in class.
Teacher will supply students with slide show lessons (as PDFs) and homework. Sometimes Teacher may include optional links to Khan Academy for extra (optional practice/review).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students who need a formal grade will be assigned a test on the material (please ask as this is optional).
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
