In this one time class, we will use Play Doh to work on our fine motor skills. Using Play Doh strengthens our hands, which helps us with life skills such as tying our shoes, holding a pencil, using scissors, and so much more! Preschool and Kindergarten comes a lot easier for learners who have strong fine motor skills and hand control. We will learn how to make letters, numbers, shapes, and more by creating together! We will practice making uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet, numbers 1-10, and some shapes including circle, square, rectangle, triangle, and heart.
Learning Goals
The student will strengthen their hands by using Play Doh to create.
The student will strengthen their fine motor skills.
The student will practice colors, shapes, letters, and numbers.Other Details

Hi friends! My name is Courtney Tice and I live in Richmond, Virginia with my husband, daughter (3), son (11 months), dog, and cat! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and taught First Grade for five years. Recently, I decided to become a stay at home mom to my two children. I miss being in the classroom and love that Outschool allows me to pursue my passion of teaching right from the comfort of my own home.
I am a huge believer in hands on learning and having fun. I believe that children need to be fully engaged and having a good time in order for subject matter to stick in their little brains! I try to incorporate activities for all learning styles when planning my lessons. I want each student to leave my class with a smile on their face, eager to come back and learn more the next day.
