We still start class by greeting each of our friends and taking time for the students to share their "Paw" pups or other toys. Then all of the students will be invited to participate in a song to get them motivated and ready to learn. Each lesson will focus on one letter and its sound each week using different songs, stories, and puppets. At the end of the class, the students will get out their modeling clay and follow directions to form the letter of the week using the play dough. We will end the class with a good-bye song. Letters and letter sounds will be taught using songs stories, puppets, and props for each letter. This is an ongoing class and students may join at any time. Fall Session Week of August 29 A is for Apple Week of September 5: B is for Bunny Week of September 12 C is for Curly Caterpillar Week of September 19: D is for Ditto Dog
Learning Goals

5. basic shapes.

All kids can learn. It's my pleasure as a teacher to get the opportunity to help your child learn. I have 31 years of varied classroom teaching experience including preschool, kindergarten, first, third, and fifth grades. I also have two years of experience as an online ESL teacher. I have my Masters of Science in Elementary Education from Southwest Missouri State University. I love teaching kids! I have a passion and a love in my heart for helping kids.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing the piano, singing, and reading.
