This single-meeting course is designed to help students increase fluency with multiplication factors 2-12. This is geared toward students who have learned the process of multiplication and are working on recalling multiplication facts. I'll have students match arrays with equations on one slide in the beginning of class only as a brief review. The rest of class time will be spent solving equations and word problems. Students will help fill in missing values on a multiplication chart, practice equations (some including and some not including random numbers I roll on a big dice!), and then we will try some word problems. The word problems will be mostly multiplication but may include some addition and subtraction as well. I will use PowerPoint slides to deliver this lesson during class. Students will get several chances to answer regular equations as well as word problems. If a student needs help, they are welcome to ask a classmate who might know. Of course, I will also support and encourage those who are less familiar with multiplication facts! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with schedule requests! For those interested, I also have this listed as a one-on-one class.
Learning Goals
This class will:
-Help students memorize/practice multiplication factors 2-12
-Allow students to practice multiplication word problems (some may also include addition or subtraction).

Students may want to have a paper and pencil handy. Students are more than welcome to take note of those hard-to-remember multiplication facts to help memorize them!
