Number bonds are the building blocks of basic math! This class introduces and demonstrates the concept of number bonds and whole-part relationships through simple stories and pictures.

Learners with a basic understanding of numbers up to 10 will benefit from this class. Learners need not have any introduction to addition or subtraction. However, this is also a great way to reinforce and re-conceptualize ideas in addition and subtraction.

In class, I present the students with simple picture stories depicting whole-part relationship. Together we discuss them and I demonstrate ways of showing the whole-part relationships of numbers. As we work together to find missing values in these relationships, learners implicitly add and subtract in a manner that is natural and easy.
