Beginner - Advanced Level
Students will improve their reading and writing skills through one-on-one tutoring. Kindergarten–8th grade homework help and reinforcement of reading fluency, comprehension, and writing skills Reading Comprehension: Helping students develop the ability to understand and interpret various types of texts, such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and academic materials. Focusing on strategies for active reading, identifying main ideas, making inferences, and analyzing literary elements. Writing Skills: Assisting students in improving their writing abilities, including grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, and overall composition. Can work on different types of writing, such as essays, creative writing, research papers, and business correspondence. Spelling and Vocabulary: Supporting students in expanding their vocabulary and improving spelling skills through activities, exercises, and practice sessions Grammar and Language Mechanics: Teaching proper grammar rules, punctuation, capitalization, and sentence construction to enhance overall writing clarity and coherence Creative Expression: Encouraging students to explore their creativity through storytelling, poetry, and other forms of expressive writing Critical Thinking: Developing analytical skills, encouraging students to question and evaluate texts critically, and helping them articulate their thoughts effectively Public Speaking and Presentation: Assisting students in becoming confident and effective public speakers, including techniques for organizing presentations, using visual aids, and engaging an audience. Research Skills: Guiding students through the research process, including finding reliable sources, taking notes, and citing references properly Literary Analysis: Helping students understand and analyze literature, including identifying themes, motifs, character development, and narrative techniques Communication Skills: Focusing on improving overall communication skills, both written and oral, to enable students to express themselves clearly and persuasively I teach with patience and understanding, putting the utmost importance on building relationships and trust with students.
