Description
Class Experience
Participants of Nature Journal: 2 will explore a variety of ways to go deeper with journaling nature, enjoy it and make it their own.
I am an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist with a background in education (10 years). I am passionate about nature and education! What makes my class especially unique in the world of online education is that the small classroom experience is valued. Rather than teaching your child in a tutorial format, students get to have the opportunity to both share their journal for an audience (other students) and also to have the chance to be inspired by seeing other student nature journals.
Participants will get outside between classes to complete their assignments each week and then share journals in class each week.
* Low cost water color paint tray and paintbrush * Journal from NJB 1 class. ( sketch pad with thicker weight unlined paper) * Crayons * Magnifying glass or jeweler's loop Optional: We will talk about colored pencil and water color pencil application in one of the classes but their use will be optional but fun to have!
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I highly recommend Nature Journal Basics: 1 prior to this class. All ages and abilities are welcome in this course. However, please be advised that some children will need parental support in the way of attention during class time, reading the instructions and scribing as needed.
