Naming and decorating the pet rock encourages creative thinking, storytelling, and personalization. The optional habitat-building portion introduces basic crafting skills and spatial awareness. Students will also have printables/ handouts so they can continue the learning and fun outside of class.
Learning Goals
Encourage students to use their creativity to transform simple objects (rocks) into imaginative characters, allowing them to explore different designs and ideas.
Through painting, gluing, and decorating their pet rocks, students will practice fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
