In this fun ongoing multiplication math class students will practice their multiplication facts from 0 to 12. The students will practice using a multiplication table, skip counting, arrays, etc. Students will learn the definitions of commutative property of multiplication, factors, products, multiply, times, and equals. They will get lots of practice with their multiplication facts. Each week the class will focus on a different number. This class will cover single digits from 0 to 12, review, and then repeat. (Some sections may be covering a different number than others during the week due to different start times.) This class will be taught in a warm and friendly discussion setting in which the students will have opportunity to interact, discuss, practice and solve the math problems together as a class. Students do not need to know their multiplication facts to take this class but should know their addition to second grade level. This class will use the annotate feature in the Zoom classroom so students can write their answers on screen. Please help your student to be prepared to use the Zoom tools before class by helping them find the annotate tools on their device ahead of class if possible. :)
Learning Goals
Students will learn their multiplication facts and practice newly learned strategies to solve multiplication problems and gain a deeper understanding of the way that multiplication works.

Supply List
Students should bring paper and a pencil with them to class. If there are any printouts needed for any class, the teacher will provide these before the class for that week.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! I’m Teacher Sheila.
I’ve been teaching both children and adults for over 20 years.
I have a Bachelors Degree in education, I’m TESOL certified and I’m homeschool certified as well.
I am currently teaching English online to children in China. I also offer classes in Common Core subjects Online in the US as well.
I have home schooled all five of my children, 4 have graduated 12th grade and I’m currently working with my last kid who will be starting High School this year.
I am so very passionate about teaching that I even spend much of my free time in volunteer work teaching others. My goal is to instill in my students a lifelong love of learning.
In fact I believe in learning so much that I am always involved continuing education myself, whether it be in foreign language, improving my teaching techniques and even weekly public speaking classes.
