In this one time class, students will use fact families as a tool to help them solve multiplication and division problems. Students will use fact family triangles for visual representations of their math facts.

Beginner Level
Students will learn how to use fact family triangles to promote understanding and memorization of basic multiplication and division facts. By making connections with different pairs of numbers, students will build fluency in memorizing these facts. Students will be asked to bring markers or crayons to this lesson so they can create colorful fact family triangles. Students will learn how to use fact family triangles to help them build fluency with basic multiplication and division facts.
I am a certified elementary school teacher, with seven years of teaching experience. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University's five year accelerated program.
Students will be given the option to complete their work on the computer and/or on a paper in front of them. Students will also have opportunities to take brain breaks when needed to promote focus throughout the rest of the session.
Students should bring paper, markers or crayons, and a pencil to this session. Highlighters are optional but could also be helpful to have.
