Homework

1-2 hours per week. At the end of each 30 minute lesson, students will have a homework assignment to complete. Please complete and return the assignment to me before moving onto the next lesson. I'm always happy to help, if your child is struggling, please reach out!

Certificate of Completion

I will give feedback with every assignment completed. At the end of the course, your child will earn a certificate of completion.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6

Beginner - Intermediate Level

Students will learn how to multiply two and three digit numbers by one digit numbers and how to multiply two digit numbers by two digit numbers. This is a 3 week self-paced course., 2 lessons per week. Each lesson will be 30 minutes long with work that will be expected to be completed at the end of the lesson. Independent work will take 20-30 minutes. Students should turn in independent work and request assistance if needed.

Learning Goals

Using area models, students will multiply two and three digit numbers by a one digit number.

Using partial products, students will multiply two and three digit numbers by a one digit number.

 Students will use a standard algorithm to multiply two and three digit numbers by a one digit number. This lesson will be 30 minutes long with independent work that will be completed once the lesson has ended.

Other Details

Pre-Requisites

Studnets should have a solid foundation of basic multiplication facts 1-10. Studnet will also need a solid foundation on place value up to ten thousand.

Supply List

Learners will need a marker board and marker OR paper and pencil. They will also need homework to be printed out. If you are unable to print the homework. Students can solve it on a sheet of paper and submit it that way.

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
