Is your child struggling with reading? Are they having a hard time writing a basic sentence, writing a paragraph or even an essay? Do they have trouble remembering what they read or coming up with the main idea and supporting details? Do they know how to regroup when subtracting? Do they have a hard time with place value and number sense? These are just some of the lessons and skills I offer when tutoring your elementary age student. 

I was a teacher for 10 years in Florida and Georgia and I know how difficult the classroom environment can be. The classroom is a fast-paced setting where one on one support often doesn't happen. Teachers are overwhelmed with the growing list of tasks thrown at them on a daily basis. 

I've been tutoring now full time for 5 months after leaving my classroom teaching job behind. I know how to help students who just need extra time and support to master a skill. Kids can become frustrated, flustered and overwhelmed with learning something new. They need a positive approach and ability to gain confidence in their learning.
