My experience in the field of education, particularly in innovative skill-building, is both deep and diverse. I'm an educational doctoral candidate in Instructional Design and Media from Columbia University, New York. Here’s a snapshot of my relevant qualifications and expertise: Current Role: Stony Brook School, Stony Brook, NY - Director, Passion Academies - Spearheaded the development and execution of "future-proof" curricula in areas such as entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and problem-solving through programming. - Launched the Passion StartUp Lab, emphasizing real-world problem solving aligned with global issues like the UN SDGs. - Initiated a unique Sustainable Social Entrepreneurship program catering to elementary students from various countries, employing a collaborative, project-based approach. - Crafted and delivered a LEGO-based Global Citizenship program targeting younger learners in Korea, with the added vision of revenue generation. Previous Role: Miss Porter’s School, Farmington, CT - Director, Institute for Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (T.I.E.) - Collaborated with global partners, delivering enriched learning experiences to students in countries like China, Korea, Vietnam, Spain, and the US. - Forged key partnerships with industry leaders like Microsoft, Buzzfeed, and Slalom Consulting, introducing students to real-world tech and entrepreneurial experiences. - Led the Curriculum Committee's vision in redesigning comprehensive curricula, emphasizing interdisciplinary learning and tangible experiential opportunities. - Established the StartUp Lab, focusing on holistic skill-building from app ideation to launch, culminating in events like Pitch Day and Hackathon. - Instructed a variety of subjects including Game Design, Digital Marketing, UI/UX Design, and Finance for Entrepreneurs, with a particular emphasis on nurturing a mindset of social entrepreneurship. Across both roles, I've been instrumental not only in curriculum design but also in ensuring its relevance and applicability in today's rapidly changing world. My commitment to fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship, combined with my ability to integrate technology seamlessly into the learning experience, positions me uniquely to impart these crucial life skills to young learners.
