Hello all learners and parents! My name is Christy, and I teach classes that help children unlock the mystery of their mind and promote overall stress management, emotional regulation, and impulse control. I have 17 years of experience using research-based strategies to teach students how their brains work and how to cultivate more calm in their brains and bodies. My academic background is in School Psychology. I have a Masters in Education (MSE) and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in the field of School Psychology with over 20 years of experience working with youth. I was certified in 2021 as a Growing Up Mindful (GUM) practitioner. I have worked in the private practice setting since 2016, teaching mindfulness, self-regulation, self-empowerment, and emotional awareness in both the small group and individual setting. As a psychometrist, I have extensive experience administering comprehesive psychoeducational evaluations, including asessments of intellectual functioning, executive functioning, and impulse control and self-regulation. I have worked with individuals ages 4 to adult as well as a wide range of diagnoses, including ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, physical disabilities, and behavior disorders.
