This 4-week asynchronous FLEX course catches the children while they are young and ready to have fun! They sing the songs that skip count and laugh with the funny dogs they get to choose from. That makes it perfect for those who can't meet during my scheduled live...
Your student will be able to recite the multiplication tables for the 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 9's, and 10's.
As a chemical engineer and project management professional in the world of information technology consultants, I've completed over five levels of college calculus and applied mathematics and used these math and computing skills throughout my career. I've also taught math in the public schools and in private and homeschool settings. I have over 16 years of teaching experience for K-9th grades. I will add that even some of the more anxious students (according to their parents) notice right away that they are safe in this environment and beginning to have fun.

All work is done on Nearpod. Parents will have access to the reports on all of the interactive work and how their learner performed. Professor Kitty pays close attention to the reports and if a learner is struggling will reach out to the parent with suggestions and possible short sessions to determine where the trouble spot is.Grades Offered
Paper, pencil, and a brain ready for thinking fun!
Please note that children who are five years old are permitted to enroll, but please be cognizant of the maturity level of your student and whether they are able to manage multiplication and skip counting. Your learner should have some familiarity with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. This course is available in 3 parts. I teach each part independently so that students are not expected to know the facts from one part before jumping into the next. Naturally Part 1 is the easiest with the 1's, 2's and 10's being 3 of the 7 numbers so if your learner is young or new to multiplication, begin here. But if you wish for your learner to do multiple parts at one time they can because not knowing facts from one part will not hurt them with the other parts. Nearpod: I am using Nearpod as an external resource. No log in is required and the tool is completely private to the students. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, your learner will be guided to a link to a specific Nearpod lesson. He/she won't need to log in in any way. They simply click on the link and the Nearpod lesson will open. That lesson is private to our class only and any inputs your learner provides on that page link will only be seen by me. By the time the four weeks of the class is over, all Nearpod links will expire. Youtube Videos played on that Nearpod lesson are privately listed youtubes that are made for younger kids by me. All of this to reassure that a younger learner this FLEX class will not have access through this tool to anything other than math resources and presentations created and presented by me.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools. Nearpod is used and is a simple click with absolutely no need to register or log in. All videos presented by the teacher and are very kid friendly. The way I use is as a teacher is to embed my teacher created recordings (of me teaching) in Nearpod so that Nearpod accesses the videos through my unlisted account on YouTube. These are simply recordings of me teaching the class or a simple dog trick. You don't need to do anything on your end as a parent. I only use these tools as a screen share. As a teacher, I have all the technology worked out and your student just clicks and goes.
Hello, Outschool parents and learners! I have nearly all 5 out of 5 ratings because I'm known for the kind of caring and high energy math instruction that really gets learners understanding math from the inside out. So welcome to my classes! ...
