Class Experience
Beginner Level
In this class, the student will learn how to make a fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons character. We will explore how to choose a race and class, how to level up, and what materials to use. We will discuss the basic rules and etiquette of play. Students will need: • A working microphone. • A DnDBeyond account (Free to create). We will create a character using DnDBeyond, the official companion website of Wizards of the Coast. If the student desires, we could instead create one using the old-fashioned method of pen and paper, or a pdf. I suggest using DnDBeyond because it simplifies the character creation process and automatically calculates much of the necessary math. This is a stand alone class, however a student can book multiple sessions if they need additional help making their character(s).
Learning Goals

Although not strictly necessary for character creation, students are encouraged to utilize DnDBeyond. D&D Beyond is the official digital toolset and game companion for Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition. It is a user friendly tool, and it is free to create an account.
