Class Experience

Let's learn about meteorology and the weather!

In this one-time class children will learn a little about what it means to be a meteorologist and what they do. We will begin class with a welcome song and a brief discussion to gather what we all already know about meteorology. Then we will go over some of the instruments that meteorologists use to predict the weather.

After we learn about the equipment we will learn about some of the terms meteorologists use when they're reporting the weather. Children will have a helpful coloring sheet to use as reference during this.
*Print this paper out prior to class.

After we finish, we will play a game in which children will have to use those critical thinking skills! Children will try to guess the weather based on the clothing that I'm packing for my day. They can use their paper as reference!

Then children will get the chance to apply everything they've learned to report the weather outside. Each child will get the opportunity to be spotlighted and pretend to be Weather Reporters! They can hold up their paper and tell everyone what the weather is like outside.

Finally at the end of class we will do a movement song together about the weather and have some fun singing and dancing!

After class each child will receive a personalize certificate to show that they completed the course.

Let's learn together! I can't wait to meet everyone!
