This setting will allow students to: a) ask specific questions directed towards what they are struggling with in math class b) receive extra practice/remediation/instruction c) explore new topics that they haven't learned yet This course is structured specifically to accommodate the needs and wants of the student. Students will be provided with another source of instruction that will help them better understand what they are currently struggling with in math class, as well as provide them insight into topics/concepts that they haven't seen yet.
I have taught all levels of math from elementary through AP Calculus. I am finishing up my 24 year of teaching, and have enjoyed every one of them. I also provide tutoring at the local community center for youth, as well as been a part of Children's Ministry for over 25 years.
Be sure to come with questions about what you are learning in math class currently. Also, it's always helpful to be prepared with graphing calculator (TI-84 preferably), writing utensil, course book (if have one), and paper.
